On September 14, 2026, the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Naresuan University, organized a training session on first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) as part of the Emergency and Fire Preparedness Project. Held from 1:00–4:30 p.m., the training aimed to strengthen essential knowledge and practical skills among administrators, faculty members, and staff, enabling them to respond to emergencies and provide appropriate and timely assistance when needed.

The training combined theoretical learning with hands-on practice. Key practical skills included applying a tourniquet to control severe bleeding, wound dressing, and providing initial assistance to injured individuals, as well as assessing situations and determining appropriate responses before transferring patients to the emergency medical system.

In addition, participants practiced CPR and the use of an AED to build confidence and readiness to assist individuals experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. Providing prompt and appropriate assistance during these critical moments can significantly improve the chances of survival.

The training was part of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences’ ongoing efforts to strengthen emergency preparedness and safety. It aimed to equip personnel with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to respond effectively to emergencies and contribute to a safe working and learning environment for everyone.

The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences extends its sincere appreciation to the team of professional nurses from Pitsanuvej Hospital for sharing their expertise, providing demonstrations, and closely supervising the hands-on training, enabling participants to apply the skills they gained in real-life emergency situations.
